Following on from our look back to the Carol Morley in Conversation session, we wanted to share another video from last year’s conference at HOME. The Copy with Confidence session led by Heather Maitland proved extremely popular, with delegates saying they found it an invaluable experience.
Heather Maitland is an arts consultant, author, trainer and Associate Fellow at the Centre for Cultural Policy Studies at the University of Warwick. She’s worked as a marketer for a wide range of arts organisations and supported over 100 arts organisations as head of two of the UK’s audience development agencies including working closely with Cinelincs, one of the first cultural cinema consortia.
The interactive workshop was primarily aimed at cinema marketing professionals and looked to answer a few key questions such as ‘How do audiences use your brochure? And what do they think of what you write?’ with Heather sharing her top tips of how to write copy that excites, informs and welcomes audiences. You can watch the full video below:
